What we use
PageStatus uses cookies only to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other sites.
Session / authentication cookies
When you sign in with GitHub or Google, we set a session cookie so the site remembers you. This cookie is required to use the dashboard and to stay logged in. Without it, you would need to sign in again on every page.
These cookies are “first-party” (set by pagestatus.dev), httpOnly where possible (not readable by JavaScript), and secure in production. They typically expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity, depending on your session settings.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block or delete our session cookie, you will be signed out and will need to sign in again to use the dashboard. We do not offer a “cookie consent” banner because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work.
